Bunny
was a rabbit. His burrow was beside a pond.
খরগোশ ছিল খরগোশ। তার আড্ডাটা ছিল লেকের পাড়ে।
His
best friend was Punny. Punny was a fish.
তার সবচেয়ে ভালো বন্ধু ছিল পুনি। পুনি মাছ ছিল।
She
lived in the pond. Every afternoon, Punny used to swim close to the bank.
সে পুকুরে থাকত। প্রতিদিন বিকেলে পুনি তীরের কাছে সাঁতার কাটে।
Bunny
sat on the bank. The two of them talked till evening.
বনি বেঞ্চে বসল। রাতে দুজনে কথা হয়।
One
afternoon Punny said, "Tomorrow is my birthday. You must come."
একদিন বিকেলে পুনি বলল, "কাল আমার জন্মদিন। তোমাকে আসতেই হবে।"
Bunny
said, "I cannot come. I cannot swim like you." He was sad.
খরগোশ বলল, "আমি আসতে পারব না। আমি তোমার মত সাঁতার কাটতে পারি না।" তার মন খারাপ ছিল.
Punny
told him, "Don't be sad, Bunny. Take a boat, and come."

Next
afternoon, Bunny took a boat to the middle of the pond.

The
boat was made of wood. It had a hull.
নৌকাটি কাঠের তৈরি ছিল। এটি একটি রডার ছিল.
The
hull helped the boat to float.
রডার নৌকাটিকে ভাসতে সাহায্য করেছিল।
The
hull was built around a long beam called a keel.
হুলটি একটি লম্বা রশ্মির চারপাশে তৈরি করা হয়েছিল যাকে কিল বলা হয়।
The
keel helped the boat to keep its direction.

Bunny
enjoyed the ride. Punny gave him some watercress.
