Once
there were two sisters. They lived in a village.

day long the elder sister used to work at the spinning wheel.
বড় বোন সারাদিন চাকার পিছনে কাজ করত।
She
was very hard working.
তিনি খুব পরিশ্রমী ছিলেন।
But
her younger sister was very lazy.
কিন্তু তার ছোট বোন খুব অলস ছিল।
One
day the elder sister was sitting by the well.
একদিন বড় বোন কূপের কাছে বসে ছিল।
She
was also working at the spinning wheel.

Her
hands were wet with sweat.
তোমার হাত ঘামে ভিজে গেছে।
Dirt
stuck to the sweat.

So
she dipped her hand into the well to clean them.

By
mistake, she dropped the shuttle into the well. She began to weep.

poor little girl dived into the well to get the shuttle.

The
apples are all ripe'. So she shook the trees.
আপেল সব পাকা'। তারপর সে গাছগুলো সরিয়ে দিল।
The
apples fell like rain.
আপেল বৃষ্টির মত পড়ে গেল।
She
gathered them in a heap.
তিনি তাদের স্তূপে জড়ো করলেন।
Then
she came to a little house.
তারপর একটা ছোট ঘরে এল।
There
she saw an old woman.
সেখানে তিনি একজন বৃদ্ধা মহিলাকে দেখতে পেলেন।
The
woman had large teeth. The girl was afraid.
মহিলার বড় দাঁত ছিল। মেয়েটি ভয় পেয়ে গেল।
The
girl was about to run away.
মেয়েটি পালাতে যাচ্ছিল।
But
the old woman called her, 'Why are you running away?

The
old woman spoke very kindly. So, the little girl decided to stay with her.

saw the same trees. But she did not shake the trees.

She
came to stay with Mother Moon. But she was very lazy.

She
did not get up in the morning.

did not work hard like her sister.
