Rearrange the following sentences in the correct order and put the numbers in the given boxes:

 

(1) Subhas and Sisir chose the wanderer of their journey. [6]

Answer - Subhas and Sisir drove through the main gate in most natural fashion because they can elude whatever suspicions of the British soldiers keeping a watch on Subhas .

Answer - A suitcase , Bedroll , Shirts , Baggy shalwars etc. items were purchased for Subhas.

 

(b) What was the real identity of Muhammad Ziauddin?

Answer - Muhammad Ziauddin was Subhas Candra Bose in reality.

 

(c) Why do you think Subhas had to put on a false identify?

Answer - Because I think Subhas ji surely decided to free from his house arrest and therefore he had to put on a false identify.

(b) Who was Ashok ? How did he help in Subhas’s escape?

Answer - Sisir’s brother was Ashok who helped the Subhas Chandra Bose to be stayed for while some time in his house at the time of escape from India .

 

(c) Describe Sisir’s last sight of Subhas.

Answer - When Subhas and Sisir decided to escape from India then for that first they purchased some dresses so that they can move in disguise from there .Then Sisir picked Subhas up in his wanderer and reached Gomoh Station in the moonlight night .Subhas said as parting words and Sisir watched him Mount the railway over bridge and walked along it with his usual majestic gait thus last sight of the Subhas.

 

(d) Why did Sisir pick Subhas up in his Car a little further from Ashok’s house?

Answer - Because Subhas was unknown for Ashok who only knew him as Muhammad Ziauddin in order to keep the identification belongs to Subhas secret .And so Sisir was able to pick up Subhas in his car a little further from Ashok’s house.

On the way, the leader of the group broke his arm and then they faced a strong flowing river which they had to cross by a weak boat. Then two of them fell on the river. I liked the story because it was a gripping story and was written in simple English.

Write a summary of the following passage:

 

 Mahatma Gandhi was very honest from his childhood. He never resorted to any unfair action. One day, while Gandhi was in school, an Inspector of schools came on a visit. The Inspector entered the classroom where Gandhi was sitting with other students. The Inspector gave a couple of English spellings to the students to write. Gandhi had written one incorrect spelling. The class teacher noticed this and indicated with his eyes to Gandhi to copy the correct spelling from another student's exercise book. But he did not do this. After the Inspector left, the class teacher scolded him for not following his instruction. Gandhi replied bravely that copying was dishonest and that is why he had not done it.


Answer: - From this passage, we get an example of Mahatma Gandhi's honesty and his stand against unfairness. One day in his visit, an inspector of schools asked students to write two spelling in English. Failing to write, Mahatma Gandhi was signalled by his teacher to copy it. But Mahatma Gandhi boldly refused to do that by saying it was immoral and unjust
