Hints: born on 12th September 1894-father Mahananda Bandyopadhyay and mother Mrinalini Devi-early education at Bangaon High School-intermediate and graduation from Ripon College, now known as Surendranath College of Kolkata-worked as Headmaster at Jangipara High School and later at Harinavi Anglo-Sanskrit Institution-famous novels are Pather Panchali, Aparajito, Aranyak, Debjan, Icchamati, Chander Pahar etc.-died on 1st November 1950

 

Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay

 

The famous Bengali writer Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay was born on 12th September 1894. His father was Mahananda Bandyopadhyay and his mother was Mrinalini Devi. He gets got his early education at Bangaon High School. He completed his intermediate and graduated from Ripon College, which is now known as Surendranath College of Kolkata. His professional carrier was started as a teacher at Jangipara High School. Later he taught at Harinavi Anglo-Sanskrit Institution. He wrote number of excellent novels. His most famous novels are 'Pather Panchali'; 'Aparajito', 'Aranyak', 'Icchamati', 'Chander Pahar' etc. This great glory of Bengali died on 1st November 1950.
