Henry Louis Vivian Derozio

Henry Lewis Vivian Delosio was an Indian English poet. He was born on April 18, 1809. His father's name was Francis Delocio and his mother was Sophie Johnson. He was born in Entally and grew up in Kolkata. He attended the Dhurramtallah Academy of David Dramondo. After that, he began teaching English literature and history at a Hindu university. He soon became the Deputy Editor of the Indian Bulletin and the Editor of the Calcutta Bulletin, and the Yearbooksa of East India and Bengal. He wrote many poems in his spare time. Some of his famous poems are: "To India, my hometown", "Indian harp", "Fakir Zungil", etc. He died on December 26, 1831.
